Desserts to try
Cilantro Chocolava
A retreat that was worthwhile.
We had a lovely dinner at Cilantro which was located in an unexpected place (hawker style). Just across my friend’s office in Bukit Merah, we tried some appetizing entree from the restaurant before waiting for the dessert that made me want some more!
We waited for this goodie to come out [...]
Mars attack
Looking at this picture, you might wonder what this is. It’s quite interesting how people can create different ways of making attractive desserts. This small kiosk called Chippy here in Singapore sells different kinds of pica-pica (finger food). From fish and chips, chicken pops and the last thing I remembered is the [...]
Da Mario’s Desserts
I’m usually fond of Italian cuisine but I’m not familiar with their desserts. So here we were in a small Italian restaurant pizzeria one Friday night. Not really fully satisfied with the main courses, my officemate G ordered all 4 desserts offered by Da Mario’s in 2’s.
I first saw that there are great [...]
The French Stall
I’m not so familiar with french cuisine though I would love to learn the language. The last French restaurant I went to was in Beijing (La Mansarde).
The food here at The French Stall was not really authentic French but it was not bad. They even offered French fries (funny! really sticking to the misconception. [...]
Les Chocolateries
Let me share a peek of one of my favorite cookies from the Philippines.
Most of you would wonder if it’s a cookie right? Each piece is ultimately thin but rich with Belgian Chocolate which I found is addicting when you start munching on one. I first discovered this when my friends [...]
Chocolate Souffle (Chocolate Lava)
Heavenly chocolate dessert.
One of my favorite dessert, but I only got to discover a few perfect pieces from different restaurants. It’s best served with ice cream on the side, like hazelnut flavor. Nothing beats a blast of chocolate fudge to make your day complete.
You can try making your own:
Cupcake lovin’
Who can resist these cupcakes?? My friend B has the passion for food and she took shots of the lovable cupcakes by Sonja. The pastel color matches the little shop they have in Serendra, Fort. Though the cupcakes are extremely good to take home, the prices are a bit steep.
My Le Palais sugar-high experience
This is my favorite sugar-high experience. It was an euphoric moment for my taste buds so to speak. We tried almost 6 kinds of delictable masterpiece. My heart almost stopped when I took a bite of the Le Palais special…
TGIF’s brownie dessert
tried this one in Beijing…was looking for the name in the net
“BROWNIE OBSESSION
A warm brownie covered in Ghirardelli® chocolate-fudge sauce, vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and pecans. ”
hmm, no vanilla ice cream but everything else is there, so i guess that’s the name!
Alameda’s dessert madness
We ate in Alameda, a posh brazilian restaurant here in Beijing which was awarded best restaurant by That’s Beijing Magazine, last week. The sit down lunch set was sumptous. After munching down every inch of the appetizer and pork fillet main course, we were able to order some [...]
