Drooling over Island Creamery

I’m drooling…still wishing I can eat more! Oh yes, another good find in Singapore!

After trying Haegan Daz and Ben & Jerry’s, I’m totally ecstatic on exploring non commercialized ice cream…with all my friends raving about a new ice cream place in Singapore, I dragged everybody to join me for my last dessert feast before going home.

We took a bus from Orchard to this place which was vaguely familiar, I think I used to pass by this going to my friends’ condo. It was near a Mcdonald’s along the highway (Jalan Serene). Island Creamery’s atmosphere reminds me of an American Diner or the ones that serves best milkshakes! Interestingly enough, people who usually hang out looked fairly younger (college students maybe).

We scouted for seats but we couldn’t dine in anymore since it was around past 10 p.m. A better alternative for us to hang out outside where there are metal seats. We ordered 2 pints of Nutella and Apple Pie which all of my friends rave about.

We were greedily sharing the ice cream. Sharing 2 pints for 10 people doesn’t seem fair for the delicious ice cream. 9sgd a pint was a steal! I think I was more satisfied than spending .70 sgd cents on Mcdonald’s ice cream. Wee! This was one of the perfect night cap for me…! Excellent flavor, the taste wasn’t too sweet with hints of the fresh flavors.

Interestingly, they also have Tiger Beer Flavor ice cream and Teh Tarik. Love to try these when I get to visit Singapore again! I want to bring these goodies home!
