Teppanyaki ice cream

Last night, my siblings and I had a get together in Edsa Shangrila’s Heat hotel buffet. Compared to Spiral of Westin hotel, it has less choices of food but nevertheless, filling. I was at the verge of a stomach burst, but I still couldn’t get my eyes off the dessert section. While waiting for my brother and his fiance, I was deliberating with myself if I should try having dessert first. It was tempting but later on, I decided not to. I should try to experiment on it one of these days…my brother tells me it might destroy my appetite, well, first time for everything!

I tried the crepe section but the crepe’s filling was not top-notch since they came from cans! I was expecting fresh fruits! But what excited me was seeing a section where they make Teppanyaki ice cream (that’s what it says, eye catching title indeed). The concept is like that of Cold Rock’s. The personnel gave us a choice of ice cream then he pressed it hard on the cold surface until it became semi circle. We can choose marshmallows, semi sweet chocolates, crushed pistaccio nuts, jelly like candies, pinipig, etc. I chose Vanilla with chocolates, pistaccio nuts and mallows! Two scoops of that made me all giddy. I took a shot of my “masterpiece”.

Something I still wish I tried is this piece of beauty.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take a bite since I was too full to even chew a candy. My brother was complaining how some cute pastries was not at all appetizing. They look great but the taste..was not hotel quality. Too bad.
